Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Newhaven is seeking a fixed-term Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to deliver letters and parcels in the local area. You will sort mail at the delivery office, deliver by van and on foot, and build relationships with customers while working outdoors in all weather.

The role is 30 hours per week with a rotating shift schedule, including some weekends. The position offers training, a uniform, and a gateway to career development within Royal Mail, with a competitive hourly rate

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van and pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift/carry 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
