Job summary

Royal Mail Group is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Ascot. You will deliver letters and parcels, sort at the office, and build relationships with customers while working outdoors in all weather. The role requires a full manual UK driving licence and the ability to handle physical duties.

You’ll work a rotating schedule, including some weekends, and follow a two-part rota that may change with demand. Training is provided, with a uniform and a red Royal Mail van.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (minimum 6 penalty points) and ability to pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills, and lifting 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated with strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers and work outdoors in all weather.
