Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Axminster is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed-term 9‑month role. The job involves delivering letters and parcels, walking long distances, and driving a Royal Mail van on a rotating shift schedule with weekend work.

You will work outdoors in all weathers, build customer relationships, and be paid £13.68 per hour plus overtime. Full training and a uniform are provided.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van and pass driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, lift 10kg+ mailbags.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weathers.
