Job summary

Royal Mail Newmarket Delivery Office is seeking a Postie to deliver letters and parcels, walking and driving a Royal Mail van on routes in the Newmarket area. The role is fixed-term (9 months) with shift patterns across Monday to Sunday, and involves outdoor work in all weather.

You will receive full training, a uniform, and a supportive team environment, with paid overtime, 22.5 days holiday, and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Ability to walk long distances and lift mailbags.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass driving assessment.
• Reliable, self-motivated and customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
