Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for the Barrhead area. You’ll deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot, work outdoors in all weathers, and join a rotating shift that includes weekends. The role is fixed term for 9 months, 30 hours per week, with a starting rate of £13.68 per hour plus paid overtime.

Full UK driving licence required (max 6 penalty points). You’ll need to be reliable, physically fit, and able to work independently while providing excellent service to

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift/carry 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.
