Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Dalry is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term contract of 9 months. The role is 30 hours per week across Monday to Saturday, with overtime paid and a starting rate of £13.68 per hour.

You'll deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot, work outdoors in all weather, and join a rotating shift. Training and a uniform are provided; full UK manual licence required.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence is required.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit for long walks, stairs/hills, and lifting mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and customer-focused.
• Good organisation and resilience in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weathers.
