Job summary

Royal Mail is recruiting a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Falkirk for a fixed-term 9-month contract. You’ll sort mail at the office, then deliver by van and on foot in the local area, building customer relationships while working outdoors in all weather.

The role requires a full driving licence and physical fitness for walking long distances. You’ll work a rotating shift schedule across 5 days in 7, with overtime and a total weekly hours around 28.5.

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs / hills, and lifting / carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently

Responsibilities
