Royal Mail Group in Glossop is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed-term 9-month contract. You will deliver letters and parcels in the local area, working a rotating shift that includes weekends and 8:00–16:00 hours.

This outdoor, physical role requires a full manual UK driving licence, the ability to pass a driving assessment, and stamina to walk long distances while handling 10 kg+ mailbags. Overtime is paid and you’ll be paid monthly for 30 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Able to pass a driving assessment and drive a Royal Mail van daily.
• Physically fit to walk long distances and lift 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated with good organisation and resilience.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Responsabilités

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in the local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather.
