Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join as flexible (temporary) post persons with driving responsibilities. You will deliver letters and parcels, driving a Royal Mail van and completing parts of your route on foot to ensure items reach their destination.

Flexibility is required as shifts vary to meet community needs. With a focus on service and activity, you’ll be outdoors most of the day, walking up to 20,000 steps and handling bags up to 16 kg.

Qualifications

• Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day and carry a mailbag up to 16 kg.
• Shifts can vary; team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver letters and parcels as the face of Royal Mail in your community.
• Drive a Royal Mail van and complete parts of your route on foot to reach every item’s destination.
• Handle and deliver election materials and other items in line with business standards.
