Job summary

Protocol Education are recruiting an Active Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant for a specialist SEMH setting in South Shields. The role involves supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs, both 1:1 and in small groups, and contributing to lessons and physical activity.

The ideal candidate is confident, energetic and capable of building strong pupil relationships. Prior SEMH/behaviour or youth-work experience would be advantageous. There is potential for a permanent position.

Qualifications

• This role would suit someone who is confident, energetic and able to build strong relationships with pupils who may have experienced barriers to education.
• Previous experience in SEMH, behaviour, youth work, sport, education or care would be advantageous.
• Active involvement in sport and physical activity is a plus for engaging pupils.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm

Pay: £98-£120 per day, depending on experience
