Job summary

Protocol Education are looking for an energetic PE & Behaviour Teaching Assistant to support young people in a specialist South Shields setting. The role involves using sport to engage pupils who may struggle with behaviour, confidence or engagement in education.

Successful candidates will support SEMH needs, assist with PE, work 1:1 or in small groups, and mentor pupils to develop confidence and independence while promoting positive relationships.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.
• Sporting background or PE-related experience is beneficial.
• Able to work 1:1 and in small groups.
• Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Location: South Shields
Job Type: Full Time, Term Time Only
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Monday–Friday, school hours
Pay: £98–£120 per day

Protocol Education are looking for an energetic PE & Behaviour Teaching Assistant to support young people in a specialist South Shields setting.

This would suit someone who can use their sporting background to engage pupils who may struggle with behaviour, confidence or engagement in education.

You could be an experienced TA, sports coach, PE graduate, youth worker or someone with a strong sporting background.

Driving & DBS

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is highly desirable.

An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is also advantageous for an immediate start. Candidates without one will need to be able apply for a new Enhanced DBS ASAP.
