Job summary

Coast and Vale Learning Trust is seeking an Achievement Support Assistant to join our EYFS setting on a permanent basis. The role is 30 hours per week, term time only (190 days). The salary is £18,591 – £19,191 per annum.

The successful candidate will support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development, promote positive behaviour and work closely with staff to implement education plans and safeguarding responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Experience of working in an early years setting (EYFS).
  • Ability to promote positive pupil behaviour and independence.
  • Ability to provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress.

Job Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and effective Achievement Support Assistant to join our hardworking and dedicated staff to work in our EYFS setting.

Contract Details

Grade: 4, Scp 7 - 9, £18,591 - £19,191 per annum (actual salary)

Hours: 30 hours per week, term time only (190 days)

Contract Type: Permanent

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will:

  • Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.
  • Promote good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with school procedures encouraging pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
  • Support the academic, social, emotional and development of individuals and groups of pupils understanding clearly how pupils learn.
  • Provide effective support to maximise attainment and accelerate the progress of individuals and groups of pupils.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes when necessary.
  • Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress towards academic, social, behavioural and learning skills.
  • Liaise closely with appropriate staff in relation to safeguarding, behaviour, SEND needs and wellbeing issues.
  • Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils’ attainment, progress, behaviour and attitudes to learning.
