Job summary

ProTalent are recruiting an Accounts Trainee for an independent boutique accountancy practice in Bury St Edmunds. You will build relationships with clients, use accounting software to prepare reports for Managers and Partners, and ensure data confidentiality.

The role involves producing accounts under FRS 102 1A and FRS 105 for various clients, including sole traders and partnerships, with training support to complete the AAT qualification. A collaborative, supportive team environment awaits.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months' experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• A Level or equivalent education.
• AAT qualification or working towards it (part-qualified acceptable).
• Strong communication and attention to detail; ability to learn new software quickly.

Responsibilities

• Build productive relationships with clients and internal teams.
• Use accounting software to provide accurate reporting for Managers, Partners and clients.
• Maintain client confidentiality and ensure data security at all times.
• Produce financial accounts in line with FRS 102 1A and FRS 105 for various clients (including sole traders).
• Prepare partnership accounts.
