Job summary

Streets LLP is seeking a proactive individual to start their accountancy career in a supportive, professional environment. You will assist experienced accounting and audit professionals in delivering accurate accounting services to a diverse client portfolio across industries.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing client financial statements and working papers.
  • Prepare fixed asset register and VAT reconciliations.
  • Post accounts and bank reconciliations to the in-house system.
  • Prepare draft income tax and corporation tax computations.
  • Prepare draft company corporation tax return computations.
  • Assist in preparation of management accounts.

Job description

Role Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual starting their career in accountancy to develop their skills and gain hands‑on experience in a supportive and professional environment. Working alongside experienced accounting and audit professionals, you will assist in delivering efficient and accurate accounting services to a varied portfolio of clients across different industries.


Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation of client financial statements including:



  • Detail client information on to in‑house accounting system using both manual and computerised data


  • Prepare working papers to support financial statements


  • Prepare fixed asset register


  • Prepare summary of debtors, creditors pre-payments and accruals


  • Prepare VAT reconciliations


  • Post accounts to the system


  • Prepare bank reconciliations


  • Post financial information onto the in‑house accounting software


  • Prepare both draft income tax computations and corporation tax computations



Prepare draft company corporation tax return computations


Assist in the preparation of management accounts


General administrative duties


Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience


  • School leaver with 120 UCAS Points or Graduate with a relevant degree


  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written


  • Ability to work as part of a team, yet also work using own initiative when required


  • Excellent attention to detail


  • Good computer skills


  • Good organisational and administrative skills
