Job summary

SRM Recruitment Limited is seeking a Trainee Accounts Assistant / Junior Accounts Assistant (AAT) to join our Welwyn Garden City finance team. This role offers full AAT study support and hands-on experience across the accounts function, with structured training and mentoring.

You will be involved in day-to-day processing, invoicing, reconciliations and financial admin within a busy team environment, with the goal of building a lasting finance career.

Qualifications

• Early in your AAT studies or ready to begin
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Confident, friendly communicator
• Organised, reliable and deadline-driven
• Team player with a can-do attitude

Responsibilities

• Raising and entering invoices and filing payment certificates
• Chasing outstanding debt and liaising with clients/collections
• Running credit checks on new clients
• Bank reconciliations for UK and Ireland (GBP and EUR)
• Cashbook and general ledger entries and journals
• General office filing and support across the team
