Job summary

Cripps Recruitment Limited is seeking an Accountant in Wokingham on a full-time, permanent basis. The role requires qualified ACCA/ACA with significant accounts and tax experience within a UK practice, including VAT and personal tax exposure.

The successful candidate will handle accounts preparation for SME clients, assist VAT and tax processes, and advise on salary/dividends while building strong client relationships in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Qualified ACCA/ACA with significant accounts and tax experience.
• Strong personal tax experience would be an advantage.
• Experience with VAT and personal tax in SME practice.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for allocated clients.
• Accounts preparation for SME clients (FRS 102 Section 1a & FRS 105).
• Assisting the VAT team with quarterly management accounts and VAT returns.
• Advising clients on salary and dividends.
• Assist with Personal Tax Returns and the personal tax portfolio.
• Develop relationships with clients and ensure retention of clients.
• Work within a team to meet deadlines and also work independently.
