Job summary

Cripps Recruitment Limited is assisting a forward-thinking, independent accountancy practice on the northern outskirts of Maidenhead to recruit a qualified Accountant. The role is aimed at ACA or ACCA qualified candidates currently working in UK accountancy practices, with a chance to consider exceptional Semi Senior applicants at a slightly lower salary band.

You will manage a diverse client portfolio, prepare statutory accounts, management accounts and VAT, assist with tax work, mentor juniors

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified or exceptional by experience
• UK accountancy practice experience essential
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, corporation tax, income tax, and VAT
• Proficient with MS Office and accountancy/practice management software
• Able to juggle priorities and work independently as well as in a team

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the management of a diverse client portfolio and being the first point of contact for client enquiries
• Statutory accounts preparation for SME, limited companies, sole traders, and larger businesses
• Management accounts and VAT work, including complex scenarios
• Involvement with tax, including personal and corporate tax compliance and advisory work
• Mentor junior team members and support Partners in client management
• Visit client sites as necessary
