Job summary

McLaren Racing is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to support timely processing of invoices and credit notes, ensure supplier terms are met, and help transform Finance processes.

You will code invoices in GBP and foreign currencies, set up suppliers, reconcile ledgers, assist with month-end journals, and collaborate with Purchasing to resolve queries. Strong attention to detail, communication skills and IT proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint are essential.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices and credit notes accurately in GBP and foreign currencies, ensuring correct account coding.
• Set up new suppliers and send bank details for verification.
• Reconcile Purchase Ledger accounts against supplier statements and payments.
• Resolve queries and work with the Purchasing Team on price and quantity variances.
• Prepare bi-weekly payment runs for review and approval.
• Manage the shared mailbox, ensuring emails receive timely responses.
• Support improvements to end-to-end Purchase Ledger processes.
• Assist with month-end activities, including journal entries and Purchase Ledger accruals.
