Confidential in Sheffield is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable / Finance Officer to support the finance team during a busy period. The role focuses on high-volume supplier invoices, matching, coding, and preparing weekly payment runs, with an immediate start.

You will report to the Finance Manager, handle month-end processing and supplier data, and liaise with internal teams and suppliers. The assignment is temporary (1-3 months) with a competitive hourly rate of £15.00-£16.00.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within an Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger or Finance Officer position
• Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
• Good communication skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers and colleagues
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems
• Ability to manage workload effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Available to start immediately or at short notice

Responsabilités

• Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently
• Matching, batching and coding invoices
• Managing supplier statement reconciliations
• Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries
• Preparing weekly payment runs
• Supporting month-end processes and reconciliation activities
• Maintaining accurate financial records and supplier data
• Assisting with expenses processing and general finance administration
• Liaising with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure timely resolution of queries
