Confidential in Lichfield is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join the finance team. This 4-week temporary contract offers insight into a fast-paced finance function and potential for permanency.

You will work closely with the Accounts Payable Manager to ensure accurate processing of invoices and timely payments, while maintaining strong internal and external relationships. Ideal candidates have prior AP or finance support experience, strong Excel skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger or Finance Assistant role preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Process high volumes of supplier invoices with accurate coding and timely posting.
• Match purchase orders, invoices and delivery notes.
• Prepare supplier payment runs and process employee expenses.
• Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Handle supplier and internal queries via phone and email.
• Assist with month-end finance activities and reporting requirements.
• Support improvements across accounts payable processes.
