Job summary

MTrec Limited is seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator on a 3-month FTC for our Ashington-based client. You will handle posting through the purchase ledger, process supplier invoices, payments, and cashbook reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

You will reconcile supplier statements, administer petty cash, initiate payment runs, and support month-end processes. Strong Excel and ERP experience are essential, with meticulous attention to detail and confidentiality in a busy

Qualifications

• Educated to GCSE Maths and English or equivalent.
• Experience using MS Excel and ERP systems in a finance environment.
• Proven purchase ledger experience with accurate data entry and reconciliation.
• Excellent attention to detail and confidentiality in handling financial information.
• Clear written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Post payments through the purchase ledger and manage cashbook reconciliations.
• Ensure invoices and credit notes are checked, approved and entered accurately before payment.
• Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Administer petty cash and monthly balances reconciliation.
• Initiate payment runs with proper controls and authorisation.
• Support month-end preparations and reporting.
