Job summary

Concurrent Technologies Plc in Colchester is seeking an Accounts Payable Lead to strengthen our finance team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will lead a small two-person AP team and ensure accurate, timely processing of supplier invoices while supporting broader finance activities.

You will oversee bank reconciliations, credit control and cash flow forecasting, building strong relationships with Procurement, Internal Sales and Engineering.

Qualifications

• Experience managing the accounts payable function and supporting business processes.
• Ability to lead a small team and develop staff.
• Experience with end-to-end invoice processing and cash flow monitoring.

Responsibilities

The Role

We're looking for a proactive, enthusiastic, and detail-focused Accounts Payable Lead to join our finance team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in keeping our finance operations running smoothly while supporting the wider business.

What will I be delivering?

As our Accounts Payable Lead, you'll be responsible for a broad range of finance activities, including:

• Leading, managing, and developing a team of two Accounts Payable professionals, providing day-to-day guidance, support, and coaching.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Managing the end-to-end invoice process, working closely with teams across the business to ensure invoices are processed and paid on time.
• Overseeing bank reconciliations and supporting day-to-day banking activities.
• Managing credit control activities and helping maintain healthy cash flow.
• Supporting cash flow forecasting and monitoring.
