Job summary

Pertemps Leeds is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance team in Goole, East Yorkshire. This temporary role runs until January 2027 and offers an hourly pay rate of £12.71–£15.00 depending on experience.

You will process supplier invoices using SAP/VIM, handle payment queries, and ensure timely, accurate payments while maintaining strong attention to detail across a busy workload.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one year's experience in Accounts Payable.
• Good knowledge of invoice processing and supplier reconciliations.
• Experience using SAP/VIM is desirable.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Process 350+ supplier invoices per week accurately and within deadlines.
• Use SAP/VIM to scan, register and process invoices, including PO matching.
• Monitor invoice workflows and follow up on parked/blocked invoices to ensure timely payments.
• Process company expenses and ONE BACS transactions.
• Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Respond to supplier and internal queries, escalating as needed.
• Ensure invoices are processed in line with procedures and controls.
• Maintain accurate records and support AP function.
• Assist with general administrative duties, including opening post and filing.
• Support the Finance team with additional duties as required.
