Accounts Assistant, 2 days in office, great opportunity for progression

Your new company

Seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join a world-leading technology organisation as they continue to grow. The company offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of accounting operations and play a critical role in its ongoing success.

Your new role
  1. Process invoices and match them to purchase orders.
  2. Set up payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  3. Manage the finance mailbox, respond to supplier queries, and maintain effective communication.
  4. Reconcile supplier statements and ensure all balances are accurate and up to date.
  5. Manage bi-monthly payment runs.
  6. Assist in preparing management accounts and support month-end procedures.
  7. Support the preparation of grant claims and assist with balance sheet reconciliations to accurately reflect the company's financial position.
  8. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting and process improvements.
What you'll need to succeed
  1. Previous experience in an accounts assistant role is preferred but not mandatory.
  2. High accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  4. Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero is advantageous.
  5. Effective communication skills are crucial for interacting with stakeholders.
