Description: Accounts Assistant, 2 days in office, great opportunity for progression

Your new company
Seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join a world-leading technology organization as they continue to grow. The company offers an opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of accounting operations and play a key role in the company's success.

Your new role

  • Process invoices and match them to purchase orders.
  • Set up payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage the finance mailbox, respond to supplier queries, and maintain effective communication.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and ensure outstanding balances are accurate and current.
  • Manage bi-monthly payment runs.
  • Assist in preparing management accounts and support month-end procedures.
  • Support grant claim preparations and assist with balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting and process improvements.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience in an accounts assistant role is preferred but not essential.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills are crucial for interacting with stakeholders.
