Job summary

Signature Pub Group is hiring an Accounts Assistant to join the Edinburgh finance team on a part-time basis. You will handle day-to-day processing for a selection of operating units and support various finance tasks to help the business grow.

The role is ideal for someone looking for their first step onto the employment ladder or returning to the workplace, with opportunities to learn and progress within a supportive hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Time management and ability to prioritise workload.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Strong computer skills and comfortable using several software packages.
• Works well as part of a team.
• Experience in a similar role is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase invoices via procurement system and manual entry of invoices on accounts package.
• Review supplier statements and reconcile to purchase ledger accounts, contacting suppliers and requesting copy invoices or discussing discrepancies.
• Following purchase invoice approval process, chasing up internal approvals and preparing supplier payment runs after obtaining invoice approval.
• Preparing/posting weekly sales figures.
• Preparing weekly bank reconciliations.
• Being a point of contact for unit managers and area managers for daily queries.
• Assisting colleagues with ad hoc administrative duties.

Job Summary

Signature Pub Group is a privately owned hospitality company that owns and operates 20 hospitality venues across Scotland, with a presence in Aberdeen, St Andrews, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Signature Pubs Ltd to join our finance team, based in Edinburgh. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day processing for a selection of the operating units and assisting in various finance related tasks to support business growth.

We are looking for a motivated individual who is looking for their first step onto the employment ladder or someone who is looking at getting back into the workplace.
