Job summary

Sheridan Maine is pleased to partner with an established organisation to recruit an Accountant – Projects & Process Improvement. The role suits a qualified accountant who enjoys a broad finance remit and driving process improvements through automation and AI.

The position is based near the Somerset/Dorset border with hybrid working after initial training and probation. You will lead finance projects, enhance systems and support governance across multiple entities.

Qualifications

Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA or CIMA credentials.
Strong accounting and financial reporting experience.
Experience of improving finance processes, systems or ways of working.
Genuine interest in technology, automation and AI within a finance environment.
Excellent organisational and project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Support delivery of finance, reporting and compliance activities.
Take lead on strategic projects from concept through implementation.
Identify opportunities to improve finance and compliance processes through automation and AI.
Collaborate with software providers and internal stakeholders on system improvements.
Train colleagues in new systems and processes and drive ongoing efficiency improvements.
