Job description

Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum (DOE).
Start Date: 1st February 2025.
Location: Offices in Otley, Wetherby with travel to client sites across Yorkshire.

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced accountant to join our team. This role combines office-based work and travel to client premises, making full-time car access essential. The ideal candidate will have experience with small to medium-sized businesses and at least two years in an accountancy practice.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare limited company year-end accounts and corporation tax computations.
2. Prepare accounts and tax returns for sole traders and partnerships.
3. Produce monthly/quarterly management accounts to meet tight deadlines.
4. Perform bookkeeping reviews and VAT checks, identifying errors and improvements.
5. Use and provide expertise in Xero, Sage, and ideally QuickBooks.

Requirements:

1. Minimum of 2 years in a small accountancy practice.
2. Ideally AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and client-facing communication.
