Assistant Accountant | Remote | Global Professional Services Firm

What You'll Do:

You'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance operations and driving process improvements across the team.

  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping and perform daily bank reconciliations using Xero
  • Process and verify cost and revenue entries, including VAT and payroll transactions
  • Support the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external accountants
  • Manage and process accounts payable and receivable functions
  • Assist with year-end procedures and audit preparation
  • Improve and streamline financial and operational processes where possible
  • Monitor and manage shared finance inboxes to ensure timely responses
  • Provide support with payroll, pension administration, and employee onboarding
  • Contribute to a range of ad hoc finance and operational projects as required
About You:
  • Have 3+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role (Assistant Accountant, Accounting Technician or QBE)
  • Experience in a SaaS
  • Background in budgeting, forecasting, or financial modelling
  • Understanding of UK tax rules
