Job summary

Meridian Business Support Ltd is recruiting an Account Manager Engineering to oversee the commercial relationship with major global OEMs within a highly regulated engineering environment. You will manage cradle-to-grave order processing, negotiate quotations with the estimating team, and handle communication through production until dispatch and export.

Regular customer meetings via Teams and occasional on-site visits are included, with a hybrid-working potential and a salary in a competitive

Qualifications

• Experience managing large OEM accounts in a regulated engineering environment.
• Degree or equivalent in engineering/manufacturing.
• Experience with technical products and complex bids.

Responsibilities

• Cradle-to-grave order processing and overseeing the commercial relationship with major OEMs.
• Negotiate quotations and coordinate with the estimating team during bids.
• Ensure compliance with credit control, export licenses, and regulatory procedures.
• Maintain day-to-day communication with customers on quotes, deliveries and costs.
• Prepare weekly expedite reports and manage associated admin for the account.
• Occasional on-site visits and regular Teams meetings with customers.

Account Manager Engineering

The Opportunity

If you're an experienced Key Account Manager within a highly regulated engineering environment then this is a fantastic opportunity for you! The Key Account Manager will oversee all orders and commercial business dealings with major customers across the world whilst developing relationships with those customers and internal stakeholders.

The Role

• Managing the entire commercial relationship with one or two major key global OEMs within a highly regulated engineering environment.
• Cradle to grave order processing: handling the initial enquiry and dealing with all associated written and verbal communication, working with the estimating team on the bid process and negotiating quotations, order processing over very technical products, and resolving all queries during production until the product is despatched and exported.
• Working with corporate departments to ensure compliance for credit control, export licenses, HM Revenue and Customers and internal procedures.
• Responsible for day-to-day communication with the customer relating to new and existing quotations, delivery commitments, cost reduction activities, timescales audits, testing compliance and certifications
• Regular meeting reviews with customer via Teams and face to face, which may involve the occasional visit on site with customers.
• Creating weekly expedite reports using Oracle and other MS Projects systems.
• General associated administration on the client account including export control diligence and credit control procedures.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience of managing large OEM customer accounts/portfolios within a highly regulated engineering environment essential.
• Degree education or equivalent experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience of working in a technical environment, on a technical / mechanically engineered product.
• Excellent organisational, communication and people skills along with drive and resourcefulness.
• Capable of working under pressure to achieve set targets, strong time management skills.

Working Hours

8.00am-4.00pm Monday to Friday (potential for hybrid working)
