The business provides manufacturing and supply-chain solutions, working closely with customers on complex products and programmes where quality, reliability and service are critical.

The Role

You will take ownership of a portfolio of existing customers, building strong relationships, understanding their priorities and ensuring the business delivers against its commitments.

This is a visible, customer-facing position for someone who enjoys spending time with clients, asking the right questions and taking accountability. You will lead customer discussions, coordinate internal teams and identify opportunities to develop each account.

Working across engineering, procurement, production and sales, you will ensure customer requirements are understood and projects progress smoothly. Alongside service delivery, you will hold commercial responsibility for account growth, pricing discussions and contract renewals.

  • Develop a detailed understanding of each customer's business, products, programmes and future requirements.
  • Lead regular customer meetings, on-site and remotely, to review performance, discuss live projects and identify opportunities.
  • Take ownership of customer issues, coordinating internal teams to agree actions and keeping customers informed through to resolution.
  • Clearly communicate customer requirements, priorities and technical expectations to engineering, procurement and production teams.
  • Monitor account performance across delivery, quality, service and commercial objectives, addressing concerns proactively.
  • Develop account plans that support retention, strengthen relationships and generate profitable growth.
  • Identify new projects and opportunities to introduce additional manufacturing and supply-chain services within existing accounts.
  • Lead pricing discussions, contract renewals and proposal development, supported by relevant internal stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the external sales team to support new opportunities and ensure a smooth transition into account management.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, account forecasts and updates on customer activity.
Experience and Skills
  • Strong client-facing account-management experience within aerospace, defence, industrial, medical or another relevant technical manufacturing environment.
  • A track record of retaining and growing customer accounts through strong relationships and consistent service.
  • The confidence to lead customer meetings, manage expectations and handle challenging conversations constructively.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including pricing, negotiation and contract management.
  • The ability to engage effectively with engineering teams and commercial decision-makers.
  • A proactive approach, taking responsibility for issues and following through on commitments.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel across England for customer meetings.
Desirable Experience
  • Experience working with OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers or complex technical customers.
  • A technical, manufacturing or engineering background, or equivalent practical experience.
