Thomas Search are working exclusively on behalf of a growing and ambitious business in the built environment sector, looking for a personable, commercially minded Account Manager to join their team. This isn't a high-volume, dial-all-day sales role.
You'll be building relationships with people across the construction and property world, understanding their projects and challenges, and working alongside technical experts to help develop the right solutions. You do need to be curious, organised, a great communicator and genuinely interested in building relationships.
You'll be joining a growing business at an exciting stage, with the opportunity to learn directly from experienced technical and commercial professionals.
You'll receive structured training and support, including:
You'll also inherit a warm network of existing industry contacts, giving you a strong platform to build from rather than being handed a phone book and told to get on with it.
This could suit someone with 1-2 years' experience in sales, account management or client services. It could also be a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious graduate or early-career professional who has the right attitude, communication skills and appetite to learn.
You’ll be speaking with architects, developers, contractors and other professionals across the built environment.
Initially, you’ll be supported to:
Over time, you’ll develop the confidence and expertise to manage enquiries and client relationships independently. The business is investing in finding someone who wants to learn, develop and grow with them.
If you’re looking for a supportive environment, real training, exposure to the commercial and technical side of the built environment and the opportunity to build a long-term career in account management and business development, I’d love to have a conversation.
