Job summary

Hayley Group Limited is seeking an Account Manager to be based at our Gloucester branch. You will handle inquiries, answer questions, and process orders, while serving on the phone and at the trade counter with expert product knowledge.

Ideal candidates will have experience in account management, with a background in engineering or manufacturing, plus strong negotiation and communication skills to upsell and add value.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of MRO/Engineering products is essential for this role.
• Prior account management experience or experience within a customer service / administrative environment.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, with strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming enquiries and customer queries; process orders.
• Be the face of our trade counter, assisting walk-in customers with expert knowledge.
• Proactively follow up on outstanding enquiries, prepare quotations, and upsell where appropriate.

We're excited to offer a brilliant opportunity for an Account Manager to be based at our busy and experienced branch in Gloucester.

About the Account Manager role:

You'll be undertaking tasks such as responding to incoming enquiries, responding to customer queries and processing orders. Expect to be on the phone as well as being the face of our trade counter, providing expert knowledge and assistance to any walk-in customers. You'll proactively follow up on outstanding customer enquiries, prepare accurate quotations, and look for opportunities to upsell and add value.

We're looking for someone confident and proactive, who isn't afraid to get stuck into a range of tasks. You'll have prior experience in account management as well as a background in engineering or manufacturing.

What we're looking for in our Account Manager:
