Job Title: Account Director - Commercial & Mid-Corporate Insurance

Working Pattern: Birmingham, with hybrid working options

About the Role

We're looking for a proactive and client-focused Account Director to join our team, managing a portfolio of Commercial and Mid-Corporate clients. You'll be the key link between clients, brokers, and underwriters - ensuring tailored, competitively priced insurance solutions are delivered with efficiency and care.

What You'll Be Doing

• Manage new business, renewals, and mid-term adjustments for Commercial and Mid-Corporate accounts
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, brokers, and underwriters
• Prepare and review high-quality market presentations and documentation
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards
• Monitor market trends and identify opportunities to grow your book of business
• Support junior colleagues and contribute to team success

What You'll Bring

• Experience in commercial or mid-corporate insurance
• Strong understanding of insurance principles and regulatory requirements
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency in relevant systems (Acturis and Outlook desirable)
• A collaborative, client-first approach with a drive to deliver results

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent)
• Working towards or holding ACII (or equivalent insurance qualification) desirable
