PURPOSE OF JOB:

We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented individual to assume the position of Account Director within our Mid-Market Sales team. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in IT Sales, including a proven track record in client onboarding and increasing sales volumes for existing clients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in managing corporate clients and have a keen understanding of the private sector landscape.

Based within commuting distance of our Reading office, the successful candidate will work within Bytes’ Mid-Market Sales organization (targeting organizations up to 2,000 employees), leading efforts to identify and pursue new business opportunities. Essential qualities include industry-specific sales experience, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a relentless drive for success. The role demands adaptability and a quick learning curve, reflecting our industry’s dynamic nature.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Prospecting and Lead Generation:
  2. Conduct market research to identify potential clients and stay updated on industry trends.
  3. Leverage networks and contacts to communicate Bytes' value and differentiate our offerings.
  4. Drive prospecting through channels like cold calling, email campaigns, networking events, and social media platforms like LinkedIn.

Client Engagement:

  1. Cultivate trust-based relationships with prospective clients, understanding their business challenges.
  2. Assess client needs to identify pain points and IT requirements, positioning Bytes as a strategic partner.
  3. Manage the entire sales cycle from discovery to deal closure, ensuring a positive client experience.
  4. Deliver presentations and demos of IT products/services, showcasing their relevance and value.

Solution Selling:

  1. Develop tailored IT solutions aligned with client goals using industry knowledge and technical expertise.
  2. Collaborate with technical teams to craft comprehensive proposals.
  3. Articulate the unique value proposition of Bytes' solutions, highlighting benefits and competitive advantages.

Sales Negotiation and Closing:

  1. Lead negotiations, addressing concerns to secure deals.
  2. Work with legal teams to finalize contracts, ensuring compliance.
  3. Meet/exceed sales targets, focusing on results and revenue growth.
  4. Maintain an organized sales pipeline and provide regular reports on activities and forecasts.
  5. Use CRM tools and analytics to monitor interactions and optimize strategies.
  6. Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies to refine sales approaches.
  7. Provide feedback to product teams based on client and market insights.
  8. Support internal teams to enhance customer value and sales effectiveness.

Key Requirements:

  • 5+ Years Experience in IT Value-Added Reseller, Distributor, or Vendor: Proven experience in roles related to IT sales, distribution, or vendor operations.
  • Location: Based near Reading, with a hybrid work policy allowing up to 2 days remote work, balancing client meetings and office collaboration.
  • Proven sales success: Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills: Ability to convey value propositions effectively and build rapport.
  • Client relationship management: Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Results-driven: Focused on achieving and surpassing sales targets.
  • Self-motivated and proactive: Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • CRM and analytics proficiency: Skilled in using CRM software and sales analytics tools for pipeline management and decision-making.
