Internal Audit (Academic Quality)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an expert in UK Academic Quality to join the Internal Audit Department and assist in global internal audits. The position reports directly to the Head of Group – Internal Audit. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in UK Academic quality. This is a full-time role involving work from the office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand UK Academic Quality standards thoroughly.
• Evaluate and assess whether GBS UK meets all Academic Quality standards.
• Conduct internal audits of GBS UK Academics.
• Review the quality of academics and end-to-end processes within the department.
• Identify gaps and issues, and discuss findings with the UK Academics department.
• Provide suggestions and recommendations for improvement.
• Assist in drafting audit reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement audit recommendations and improve processes.
• Report directly to the Head of Group – Internal Audit in India (Noida).
• Support other areas of Internal Audit for UK entities as needed, including planning, executing, and concluding audit engagements.
• Be willing to travel occasionally to other countries, especially India, as part of audit activities.
• Stay updated on regulatory requirements and industry best practices in the education and higher education sectors.

Additionally, the role involves:

• Conducting global audits of academic departments in other locations and entities within the GEDU Global group (operating in 12+ countries).
• Ensuring high academic standards are maintained at par with UK standards.
• Highlighting gaps and suggesting process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Substantial experience in UK Academic Quality.
• Relevant degree and appropriate experience are considered.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with teams across 12+ countries.
