Job summary

Paint Red Ltd in the United Kingdom is seeking an Air Conditioning Installation & Maintenance Engineer to service a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential clients across Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex. You will carry out installation, PPM, fault-finding and repairs on a range of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Working within an experienced team, you will prioritise safety, maintain service records, and build strong relationships with customers while occasionally working away

Qualifications

• F‑Gas Category 1 Certification (2079).
• NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (minimum).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Minimum 2 years' experience within the Air Conditioning industry.
• Strong fault‑finding, servicing, and maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out installation, (PPM) and reactive maintenance works.
• Service, maintain, diagnose, and repair a range of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
• Work on split, multi‑split, VRV, VRF, and associated HVAC equipment.
• Identify faults and provide effective solutions to minimise downtime.
• Maintain accurate service records and complete all required documentation.
• Ensure equipment under contract is serviced and maintained in line with manufacturer recommendations and company standards.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with clients through professional service delivery.
• Proactively identify potential issues and communicate recommendations to management and customers.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
• Participate in occasional working away from home as required.

The Role

As an Air Conditioning Installation & Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), fault-finding, servicing, and repairs across a variety of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

Working as part of an experienced engineering team, you will ensure customers receive a high‑quality, reliable service while maintaining the highest standards of safety and workmanship.

About You

We are looking for a reliable and customer‑focused engineer with strong technical knowledge and a proactive approach to maintenance and fault diagnosis.

Essential Requirements

• F‑Gas Category 1 Certification (2079).
• NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (minimum).
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Minimum 2 years' experience within the Air Conditioning industry.
• Strong fault‑finding, servicing, and maintenance experience.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
• Electrical qualifications (NVQ or City & Guilds).
• Experience with Daikin and Mitsubishi Electric systems.
• Knowledge of wider building services and HVAC systems.
