Job summary

Gi Group in Maidstone is seeking a 7.5 ton driver for ongoing, full-time work delivering to residential addresses. You will work Mon-Fri, about 45 hours per week, with a 30-minute unpaid break, and be paid £16.86 per hour including advanced holiday pay.

You’ll need a valid UK Cat C1 license, Tachograph/CPC, at least one year driving experience, and good communication and customer service skills. Weekly PAYE pay, and security checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Cat C1 license.
• Valid Tachograph and CPC qualifications.
• Minimum 1 year of driving experience.
• No more than 6 SP penalty points (BA/CD/CU/DR/IN endorsements not accepted).
• DBS check required (can be provided but may take up to two weeks).
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Good customer service skills and a safety-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Conduct vehicle checks and ensure roadworthiness.
• Deliver to residential addresses and depots daily.
• Assist with loading/unloading and manual handling.
• Communicate delivery status to the depot and confirm status with devices.
• Prioritise workload to meet time commitments.

Pay: £ 16.86 / hour including advanced holiday pay, (Weekly Pay, PAYE Only)

Gi Group are looking for reliable and motivated 7.5 ton drivers for ongoing work with a carrier company based in Maidstone. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ongoing role delivering to residential addresses.

7.5T Driver main duties will include:

• Conducting vehicle checks
• Making deliveries/collections each day to customers and depots
• Manual handling is involved while loading and unloading
• Handling device to confirm delivery status and communicate with the depot
• Prioritising workload to ensure time commitments are met

What You'll Need as a 7.5 ton Driver:

• A valid UK, in-date Category C1 license
• Valid and in date Tachograph and CPC qualifications
• Minimum 1 year of driving experience
• No more than 6 SP penalty points accepted (no BA/CD/CU/DR/IN endorsements)
• Able to provide 5 years of work / education history for security clearance
• DBS check required (can be provided but may take up to two weeks)
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
• Good customer service skills and a safety-focused approach
