Job summary

John Lewis Partnership invites applications for a Technician Specialist, delivering and installing home products as part of a 2-person crew. Role includes coaching teammates, loading deliveries, and ensuring excellent customer service in customers' homes.

Role involves heavy lifting (so you must be 18+), and shifts cover mornings to evenings across seven days over 41 hours. Flexible working and progression opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Manual C1 UK driving licence (max 6 points).
• DCPC or Drivers Qualification Card required by day one, Tachograph Card needed.
• Previous experience driving a 7.5‑tonne vehicle.
• Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
• Strong verbal communication both on the phone and in person.
• Good understanding of technology.

Responsibilities

• Be an ambassador for the John Lewis brand with top customer service.
• Coach, develop and assess delivery driver colleagues and share knowledge to perform at their best.
• Assist with loading the lorry and coordinate with the warehouse team.
• Show respect and care for customers' homes and handle issues to find the best solution.
• Install products efficiently and explain their operation to customers.
• Stay up to date with new products and technologies to perform effectively.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
