Job summary

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Swansea area. We are looking for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers to join the team.

Hours: Monday to Friday 08:30am starts. Pay rates: £16.05 PAYE per hour, overtime after 40 hours £23.43ph PAYE. Location: Lincoln LN6 9BJ. Job Type: Temp to perm. This role requires a full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1) and a valid DCPC/Digital Tachograph card.

Qualifications

• Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1).
• 12 months experience required.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.

Responsibilities

• Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
• Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses.
• Handle occasional push roller cages as needed, assisting sites with movement when required.
• Reversing in the yard and manoeuvring vehicles with precision, including shunting duties when required.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring roadworthiness and compliance with company standards.
• Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
