Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team, ensuring timely collections and deliveries from customer sites while maintaining high customer service standards.

The role includes operating commercial vehicles, loading/unloading, visiting customer sites, and installing plant attachment equipment. Training is provided for the technician aspect of the role and basic IT usage is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of driving license category C1 – with no more than 6 points.
• CPC Certified.
• Tachograph card.
• Proactive approach to safety of company vehicles and other drivers.
• Polite manner at all times when visiting customer premises.
• Plant maintenance or mechanical experience is desirable, however training can be provided.
• Good geographical knowledge and Industry experience (desirable).
• Ability to use IT systems (desirable).
• FORS compliant (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods.
• Ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness prior to journeys and secure loads.
• Visit customer locations and communicate with internal/external customers.
• Install plant attachment equipment on customer sites.
• Comply with legal and company safety requirements and working time regulations.

About The Role

Full training will be provided for the technician aspect of the role

Are you ready to be a part of our rapidly developing business. We are looking for a talented 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our team to ensure timely collection and deliveries from customer sites whilst consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations.What will you be doing?

• Operating commercial vehicles for the transportation of goods
• Ensuring the vehicle is safe and roadworthy before commencing any journey, as well as the safe loading, unloading and security of the vehicle load
• Visiting customer locations, communicating with both internal and external customers
• Installing plant attachment equipment on customer sites
• Ensuring that the legal and company safety requirements, alongside the working time directive regulations are adhered to at all time
