Job summary

TRC Yorkshire currently seeks reliable 7.5 Tonne Drivers to join our client in Ilkeston, DE7. The role involves heavy parcel transport, up to 30 drops daily, and on-truck loading/unloading with tail lifts.

You will ensure safety, accurate paperwork, and professional customer service on every delivery. Must have C1 licence, 12 months experience, DCPC/Tachograph, and clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with C1 entitlement.
• 12 months driving experience required.
• Able to lift and handle heavy loads up to 80 kg.
• DCPC and Digital Tachograph card valid.
• Licence with no more than 6 points.
• Understanding of Working Time Directive (WTD).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Safety-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Move and transport palletised or loose parcels to customers or businesses.
• Handle heavy items up to 80 kg while loading/unloading.
• Make up to 30 drops per day.
• Unloading/loading using tail lift for palletised goods.
• Maintain accurate paperwork and drive safely.
• Interact with customers professionally and courteously.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Ilkeston area. We are looking for several dedicated 7.5 Tonne Driver (Cat C1) to join the team.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00am starts

Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour PAYE

Location: IIkeston, DE7

Job Type: Ongoing

The role

• Securely moving and transporting palletised or loose parcels to customers or businesses.
• Packages will be heavy (up to 80kg weight)
• Up to 30 drops per day.
• Drivers will be required to unload and load - trucks will be fitted with tail lift for palletised goods
• Focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
• Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with C1 entitlement (7.5 Tonne).
• 12 months experience required
• Be comfortable with heavy lifting and handballing
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
