Job summary

Workchain is recruiting a 7.5T Driver for a Berkswell-based role on a 13-week temporary contract with potential permanent progression. You will drive a 7.5-tonne flatbed to construction sites, secure loads with straps, and perform multiple daily deliveries with minimal handball.

The role offers Monday–Friday work, 07:00 starts, and overtime pay after 17:00, plus a monthly bonus and a clear path to permanent employment. Training and safety checks are included.

Qualifications

• Valid 7.5T licence.
• Previous 7.5T driving experience.
• Experience securing loads with straps.
• Good knowledge of road safety and vehicle checks.
• Reliable and professional approach.
• Comfortable delivering to construction sites.

Responsibilities

7.5T Driver – Temp to PermWorkchain

Workchain are currently recruiting for a 7.5T Driver on behalf of our client based in Berkswell. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for an experienced 7.5T driver looking for a stable, Monday to Friday role with the opportunity to secure a permanent position.

The role:

• Driving a 7.5 tonne flatbed caged vehicle
• Delivering groundwork supplies to construction sites
• Usually around 3–4 deliveries per day, depending on workload
• Loads will need to be secured using straps
• Goods are mainly unloaded by FLT, meaning minimal handball is required
• Deliveries will be to various construction sites, so you must be comfortable working in different locations
• Some physical work may be required when securing loads

Hours & Pay

• Whilst with Workchain:£13.50 per hourMonday to Friday07:00 starts13-week temp-to-perm
• Once permanent:£34,400 annual salary45 hours per week07:00–17:00, including a 1-hour lunchMonday to Friday – no weekendsEquivalent to approximately £14.70 per hour
• Any hours worked after 17:00 paid at time and a third – £19.60 per hour£100 monthly bonus available based on driving performance and deliveries completed
