Job summary

Rapier Employment Limited is recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our established logistics client in Hoddesdon. You will work with a Driver's Mate on multi-drop deliveries, handling heavy items and ensuring safe, efficient routes.

The role offers ongoing work, full training, weekly pay, and potential permanent positions. A valid UK licence, CPC, tachograph card, and DBS check are required, with weekend flexibility and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• A valid UK driving licence and Driver CPC qualification are required.
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card is required and at least 6 months’ driving experience.
• Flexibility for weekend work and ability to undertake manual handling are essential.
• Reliable, punctual attitude and willingness to undergo a Basic DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Complete multi-drop home deliveries in a two-person crew with a Driver's Mate.
• Deliver heavy goods and household appliances with care and professionalism.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and maintain Tachograph records.
• Plan routes efficiently and provide excellent customer service.
• Follow all road transport rules and company procedures.

Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday OR Tuesday to Saturday

Rapier Employment are currently recruiting for 7.5 Tonne Drivers to join our well-established logistics client based in Hoddesdon.

The Role

As a 7.5 Tonne Driver you will work alongside a Driver's Mate to complete multi-drop home deliveries.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Completing multi-drop home deliveries to customers' homes
• Delivering heavy goods and household appliances
• Carrying out manual handling and heavy lifting as part of a two-person team
• Planning delivery routes and completing deliveries efficiently
• Completing daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects
• Maintaining accurate Digital Tachograph records and delivery paperwork
• Providing professional and friendly customer service at each delivery
• Following all road transport legislation and company procedures

Shift Pattern

You will be required to work one of the following shift patterns:

• Sunday to Thursday
• Tuesday to Saturday

Start times are from 06:00.

Overtime may also be available.

What We're Looking For

To be considered for this 7.5 Tonne Driver position, you will need:

• A valid UK Driving Licence
• A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 6 months driving experience
• A flexible approach to weekend working
• Ability to undertake manual handling and heavy lifting
• A reliable, professional and punctual attitude
• Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS check

Experience That Would Be Beneficial

Previous experience in any of the following would be advantageous:

• 7.5 Tonne
• Delivering large or bulky goods
• Furniture or household appliance delivery

Training & Support

You will receive industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment, helping you settle into the role and understand the delivery operation.
