Job summary

Marton Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled CNC 5-Axis Programmer, Setter & Operator to join our manufacturing client’s team in the UK. You will programme, set up and operate 5-axis machines to produce high-precision components, with emphasis on tight tolerances and process consistency.

The role requires strong knowledge of CAD/CAM tools, especially SolidWorks, and the ability to interpret technical drawings.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator in 5-axis machining.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, especially SolidWorks.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and tolerances.
• Experience with plastics injection moulding is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop CNC programmes using CAD/CAM software.
• Set up CNC machines with proper tooling and fixtures.
• Operate 5-axis CNC machines to produce complex parts.
• Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC equipment.
• Use hand/power tools to assemble components as required.
• Conduct quality checks with precision measurement instruments.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret drawings and specs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
