Job summary

Evoke Staffing Ltd in Swindon is seeking an experienced CAD/CAM Programmer, Setter & Operator to join its precision engineering team. You will program 5-axis CNC machines using hyperMILL CAD/CAM software, set and operate the equipment, and produce components to tight tolerances for a diverse customer base.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a CAD/CAM programming role.
• Strong CNC setting and operating experience.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Good knowledge of machining processes, tooling and materials.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, reliable and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Programming 5-axis CNC machines using hyperMILL CAD/CAM software.
• Setting and operating CNC machinery.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Selecting appropriate tooling and machining strategies.
• Producing precision components to tight tolerances and high-quality standards.
• Carrying out first-off inspections and in-process quality checks.
• Troubleshooting machining issues and implementing process improvements.
• Optimising machining processes and cycle times.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised working environment.
