Job summary

Mansell Recruitment Group represents a well-established engineering and manufacturing business seeking an experienced CAD/CAM Programmer in the United Kingdom. You will take ownership of programming and develop 3-, 4- and 5-axis toolpaths to support manufacturing processes and ensure parts meet required standards.

The role requires strong CAD/CAM skills, with experience in PowerMill, HyperMill or Siemens NX; SolidWorks is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in a precision engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Strong CAD/CAM programming experience.
• Proficient with 3,4 and 5-axis machining and GD&T.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
• Experience with PowerMill/HyperMill/NX; SolidWorks is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Create CNC programmes for a range of CNC machinery.
• Develop efficient 3, 4 and 5-axis toolpaths.
• Use CAD/CAM software to programme complex components.
• Design and produce fixtures and workholding.
• Identify tooling requirements and ensure correct tooling is available.
• Ensure programmes meet tolerances and surface finishes.
• Support production with technical problem solving.
