Job summary

Kenneth Brian Associates Limited is seeking a 3rd Line IT Support Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer to join their Crawley-based Managed IT Services team. The role centres on senior technical troubleshooting, complex incidents, and project delivery across a varied customer base.

Occasional travel to client sites may be required. The ideal candidate will show strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, and networking, with a proactive approach to security and DR planning.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as 3rd Line IT Support or Senior Infrastructure Engineer, ideally in an MSP.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Entra ID, Azure, Windows Server and AD.
• Hands-on with Intune, Defender, Hyper-V, backups and DR.
• Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs.
• Experience with PowerShell and delivering IT projects.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior escalation point for complex technical issues and own incidents through resolution.
• Provide 3rd line support across Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, AD and Intune.
• Maintain and troubleshoot IT infrastructure including Hyper-V, networking, firewalls, VPNs, and DR.
• Deliver customer projects such as cloud migrations, server upgrades and security implementations.
• Support junior engineers, perform root-cause analysis and optimise systems and service delivery.

3rd Line IT Support Engineer / Infrastructure Engineer

Kenneth Brian Associates are are recruiting for an experienced 3rd Line IT Support Engineer to join a Managed IT Services team based in Crawley. This is a senior technical role involving complex troubleshooting, infrastructure support and project delivery across a varied customer base.

Occasional travel to client sites may be required where necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the senior escalation point for complex technical issues, taking ownership of incidents through to resolution.
• Provide 3rd line support across Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft Intune.
• Maintain and troubleshoot IT infrastructure, including Hyper-V, networking, firewalls, VPNs, backup and disaster recovery.
• Deliver customer projects including cloud migrations, server upgrades, infrastructure improvements and security implementations.
• Support junior engineers, undertake root-cause analysis and identify opportunities to improve systems, security and service delivery.

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience in a 3rd Line IT Support or Senior Infrastructure Engineer role, ideally within an MSP environment.
