Job summary

BT Group in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced engineer to deliver 24x7 data services, manage incidents, and drive improvements across the BT Managed Service portfolio. You will work with industry-leading technologies to ensure reliable, high-quality services for customers.

The role requires on-site presence 3 days a week with 2 flexible days, across locations including London, Sheffield, Belfast, Birmingham or Manchester, and eligibility for security clearances.

Qualifications

• Experience in a systems integrator or managed support environment.
• Cisco CCNA/CCNP certification or equivalent vendor certification.
• Knowledge of Data Services technologies and BT Managed Service products.
• Experience contributing across the service lifecycle and shaping technical solutions.
• Ability to drive service improvements and transformation initiatives.
• Strong organization, prioritization and communication with ownership.

Responsibilities

• Resolve incidents, service requests, changes, and problems across the Data Services portfolio in line with SLAs.
• Manage and communicate customer issues effectively, including escalation to vendors and stakeholder updates.
• Collaborate across teams to deliver timely resolutions and maintain service quality.
• Support continuous improvement through knowledge sharing, training, and development of tools and processes.
• Contribute to 24x7 service delivery, including on-call support, proactive maintenance, and SME responsibilities.
