Job summary

BT Group in Derby is seeking a 3rd Line Security Specialist to provide lead technical support on complex security incidents, working onsite at a secure customer facility.

The role requires hands-on expertise across Cisco/Checkpoint/F5, strong incident management, and the ability to coordinate with designers and wider teams; eligibility for Government Security Clearance to SC UK Eyes Only Level is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven operational experience across Network Engineering and Security Operations roles.
• Proven experience across Cisco Firewalls, Checkpoint Firewalls/IPS, F5 Load Balancing, Cisco WSA/ESA/ISE, Ivanti Pulse VPN, Switches and Routers.
• Ability to lead and manage major or complex security & network incidents, coordinating teams to troubleshoot and resolve.

Responsibilities

• Be a Subject Matter Expert for a wide range of technologies & security products.
• Detect, respond and resolve complex security incidents, problems and changes within the operational environment.
• Provide 3rd line support, responsible for the high priority incident while resolving within the agreed SLA.
• Be the technology SME for specialised products and services.
• Be the operational SPOC for our design or customer contract teams.
• Providing RCA’s and contributing to PIR’s as and when required.
